Was hired to handle the responsibilities of filling, lubricating and general maintenance of heavy equipment on day to day basis. While keeping environmental issues such as spills, garbage and waste water run-off clean, during reclamation projects for strip mines. During which time Jese is also working towards his NCSO (National Construction Safety Officer) certification.

Jese was accepted as a student looking for operations experience between post-secondary schooling years. Primary responsibilities included driving out to flowing gas wells to confirm proper operations of pumps, valves or to reset the well to flow again. Other daily responsibilities where pipeline pigging, valve replacement and chemical pump adjustments. Day to day hazards that had to be mitigated included: Bears (both Black and Grizzly’s), sour gas at 30% concentrations and severe road conditions including mountain driving.

2014 - 2017
Jese started off as a general labourer and very quickly moved to being an apprentice. During this time, Jese dealt with building offsite Steam Assisted Gravity Drainage (SAGD) well pads from the point of cutting and capping piles to the placing of 200 ton buildings. Safety being the priority for all jobs. These jobs included: working on the hydro testing crew for over a year (both in the plant and offsite), working for a year in the plant facility expansion and finally working plant shutdowns for the facility maintenance; specifically pulling exchanger bundles (500+ pounds) from their shells for cleaning and repair before reinstalling them.
